Work
don't put your career on pause, launch it with purpose
At Blue Ridge Fellows, work isn't a break from spiritual formation, it's one of the key places where it happens. We believe vocation is a holy calling, not just a paycheck or a steppingstone. God created us to work, to build, to solve, to heal, to restore. When you bring your faith into your work, even emails and spreadsheets can become part of God's redemptive work in the world.

That's why fellows don't pause on their careers during this program. Instead, they invest their first year out of college by living, learning, and working in Roanoke—starting strong with real world experience in a job that actually moves the needle on their long-term goals.
From healthcare and engineering to marketing, education, and the arts, our fellows work in a wide range of industries. Some jobs are local; others are remote. Some fellows walk into their dream field on day one; others explore unexpected opportunities and discover surprising gifts. Either way, you won't walk this road alone. We'll help you connect with the right opportunity, and more importantly, with the right people.
Along the way, we'll challenge you to see your work not just as what you do-but as where you live out who you are in Christ.
You won't just be a "Christian who happens to be an engineer." or a "graphic designer who also goes to church." You'll learn to see yourself, and your vocation, as fully integrated. A whole person, following Jesus, and working for the good of the world.
