If you love Jesus and love people and want to grow in all aspects of your own life with Christ, then be a part of Blue Ridge Fellows! BRF was an incredible year of my life and faith journey. There are too many good memories I could share, but the most valuable memories are the memories still to come because BRF set me on a course to succeed and grow. Tim and Kellie teach you in so many ways with a Biblical mindset, help you find community, walk you through tough decisions, conversations, topics, or theological viewpoints. And the experiences I gained were amazing as well. I found my short term professional calling, I served a school in Belize, went to the Bible museum with them, and so much more! For sure was the best thing I could have done my first year out of college! Anyone who joins BRF will be blessed by the process.

My year as a Blue Ridge Fellow transformed my life; the Gospel had never felt so real to me as it does now, after learning from Tim, Kellie, and so many others for nine months. Tim and Kellie are truly wonderful people who I am so grateful to know, and Tim's gift for teaching is one of a kind. If you listen to him teach - even just once - you'll catch his incessant curiosity and passion for all things theology.
My year as a fellow also profoundly shaped my professional career, giving me the space to figure out, through safe trial and error, how I wanted to spend my working days throughout the rest of my life. Without Tim's guidance, I likely would have stumbled into a long-term job I didn't enjoy very much. Instead, I received so much support for how to navigate the job market, found a job that taught me lots and served me so well, and learned about how to be excellent in the work I am called to.

Church of the Holy Spirit, the home church for BRF, is such a sweet place that I miss dearly - their teaching is enriching and grounded in Scripture and their community is so special. I felt so welcomed from my first day in Roanoke. There were countless hikes, dinners, adventures, coffees, and memories shared across the city; Roanoke by itself is an awesome place, but the people truly made it feel like home.
Everyone should become a Blue Ridge Fellow! You'll be better for it!

Participating in the Blue Ridge Fellows was a wonderful experience! I learned so much about what it means to live as a Christian in this world. The wisdom gained during these 9 months has stayed with me even 7 years later and has influenced how I interact with my family, church, neighbors and coworkers. Most importantly, it has provided me with friendships that will last for a lifetime.

It was an incredibly rich experience! Hands down the best teaching I have ever been under. Tim and Kellie are simply the best. Extremely wise, godly, humble, kind, and fun! It was such a privilege to spend a year with them. The church the program is linked to is excellent as well and Roanoke is a really fun place to live. There's much to do, especially outdoors. I would highly recommend this program!

The Blue Ridge Fellows program is absolutely incredible. While I was never a Fellow myself, I have had the opportunity to closely interact with dozens over the years, many of whom are dear friends (and one became my husband!). Church of the Holy Spirit has a really robust young adults/professionals group that I was a part of and therefore got to spend lots of time with the fellows and Tim & Kellie over the years. Tim is insanely gifted at what he does—absolutely living out God's call for his life. He teaches in a way that leads you to discover that the Bible is full of treasure, and equips you to find it. Kellie is an incredible counterpart to him. She is so generous with her time and is such a wise, calming presence. Tim, Kellie, and now Cody are an awesome team and have grown my faith so much, and I'm forever grateful for the ways they've grown my husbands' too. Every fellows class is full of remarkable young adults that our church is so fortunate to have. Tim, Kellie, the Blue Ridge Fellows, and Church of the Holy Spirit have truly changed my life forever!

I was in the second class of fellows (2016-2017) and this 9 month program blessed me in so many ways. It provided an opportunity to grow intentionally alongside community and be an active member of a solid church in Roanoke, Virginia. During that year, I grew under the leadership and teaching (which is top notch) of both Tim and Kellie Henderson, studied biblical topics through seminary courses, served the local church/community, went on a mission trip to Belize, and even grew in my professional field. I couldn’t recommend this program enough to any graduating college senior. They taught me so many valuable skills and provided some of my very best friends and even a husband 😉 I only planned to stay in the Roanoke valley for 9 months and here I am 8 years later starting my little family.

The fellows program was a fantastic opportunity where I got to grow in my faith, be integrated into a tight-knit Christian community, go on an amazing mission trip, and get genuinely helpful/practical advice for how to transition into adult life. It was a really memorable time in my life and I especially appreciate the hospitality and wisdom of Tim and Kellie.

My time in Blue Ridge Fellows continues to be one of the most pivotal times of spiritual growth I've experienced. Not only through Tim's teaching, seminary classes, and group discussions but in seeing how Church of the Holy Spirit embraced us, how so many families opened up their lives and homes to us, and by getting to see so many examples of what it means to really live out your faith. I also met so many amazing young people who had a deep love for Christ and knowing Him and His Word more deeply. And it all takes place in Roanoke, a beautiful little city with so much charm and gorgeous mountain hikes.
Tim and Kellie are amazing and can connect you with previous fellows, like me, so don't be shy, reach out. I know from experience that doing this program can feel like a leap of faith, but I also know that it's so worth it. Pray about it and step out in faith.

My year as a Blue Ridge Fellow was one of the most impactful of my life! Going in, I had some hesitations about what to expect, but it turned out to be one of the most formative and rewarding experiences. I grew so much in connecting knowledge with my faith, thanks to Tim’s teaching and the close-knit community that challenged me in ways I still think about often. Because of the Fellows program, I was able to completely pivot my career and gain experience I wouldn’t have had if I had gone straight into the working world from college. On top of that, the program is incredibly well-run, and Tim and Kellie genuinely invest in the long-term well-being of each fellow.

The Blue Ridge Fellows changed my life for the better. It is hard to transition out of college life into the working world. This program helped me do that by helping me find meaningful community and fill my head and heart with wise teachings that I have continued to benefit from years after. Since the program ended I have lived in many other cities and I would still rank Roanoke as one of my favorite places I have lived.

The Blue Ridge Fellowship program was an incredible experience after my graduation from Rochester Institute of Technology. Interactive seminary classes, career experience related to my major (including pay), free housing and meals, endless small group and community events were included. If you want to find friends for life and answers to your tough life questions, this is the program for you! Escape into the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. I was from Maine, and now live here in a career of my choice with my new family. I could not give this program, led my the very fun and loving Tim and Kellie, enough stars or compliments! Finally, the program is present and bolstered by Church of the Holy Spirit (CHS), an Anglican Parish, a well established church which is a place full of EVEN MORE LOVE.

I am so thankful for Tim and Kellie and the wonderful program they have created in Blue Ridge Fellows. I had so much fun and came out of that year more equipped than ever to live faithfully in all aspects of my budding young adult life - spiritually, relationally, and professionally. The teaching we received was of the highest quality and the friendships we develop were deeply rich and meaningful.

The Blue Ridge Fellows program is truly life-changing. Tim’s teaching is a blessing in a world of confusion, grounding everything in God’s unshakable truth. The opportunities for service build spiritual disciplines that last far beyond Fellows. But most of all, Tim and Kellie’s hospitality and genuine love exemplify the beauty of Christian community. If you’re considering it—do it. You won’t regret it!

The Blue Ridge Fellows Program was a wonderful experience and a great 9 month transition point between graduating college and going out into the work force. I learned how to bring God into every aspect of life and how to live effectively for Him. Tim and Kellie expanded my knowledge of the Bible and gave me a deeper understanding of Christian theology. I enjoyed attending and serving at Church of the Holy Spirit and making deep friendships with the other fellows and community around me.

It would be impossible to properly convey all the goodness that is Blue Ridge Fellows in an online review. This program was one of the most significant things I have done in my life. Tim and Kellie, in partnership with Church of the Holy Spirit gave me a foundation for faith, work, relationships, and practical life that I will always carry with me. From the glory of the Scriptures to budgeting to healthy conflict resolutions, Blue Ridge Fellows truly speaks into all areas of life. I look back with nothing but thankfulness at my time with BRF (which turned into several years in beautiful Roanoke!). I cannot recommend this program enough!!

BRF has been an essential part of my life post-college. It's an incredible program that has been foundational to my career as it provided me with valuable professional skills that will last a lifetime. Tim's lessons are well thought out, engaging, and challenging. They force you to think critically about yourself and the world around you. Spiritual teaching is also a huge part of the program, to the benefit of every Blue Ridge Fellow. The high level theology lessons are exceptionally engaging and consistently helped me to grow closer to the Lord. This program has shaped me for the better and I could not recommend it enough!

An incredibly enriching program! So many opportunities for growth and engagement in professional development, Biblical teaching, service, and community building all within the beautiful landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Tim and Kellie are genuinely some of the best people I have ever met, and their wisdom, generosity, and teaching have shaped my life in meaningful ways. The Blue Ridge Fellows Program is an absolutely incredible experience for recently graduated college students. I can't imagine having used one of my gap years in between undergrad and medical school in a more impactful way for my faith and my future as a believer in medicine. It was by far one of the most fun and growth-filled years of my life. Tim and Kellie do an amazing job at developing an intentional and Christ-centered community through this program, where young adults can grow into the young professionals that God desires them to be! I also can't go without mentioning that being in Roanoke, surrounded by the beautiful blue ridge mountains, was the icing on the cake!

My year spent as a Blue Ridge Fellow was a wonderful gift. I made great friends, gained a stronger sense of identity, and learned so much about life, work and the Bible. Because of BRF, I have high expectations for what Christian community can and should look like, and I work to foster that community wherever I find myself. I love this program and I think I'll always look back on it as one of the most transformative experiences of my life.

Spending a year as a Blue Ridge Fellow was the best way to transition out of college and into the adult world. It gave me the tools to grow as a disciple, evangelist, and servant in a variety of spaces- including at church, with my host family, at my job, and in close community with the 9 other fellows in the program! Tim and Kellie are so wise and hospitable, continually opening up their home and offering their biblical mentorship.
Tim's teaching of the Scriptures is the best I've ever encountered. It opened my eyes to the beauty of the Scriptures and how the entire Bible truly points to the glory of Christ. I'd recommend this program to anyone who desires to grow in their love for God and understanding of the Gospel!

My time being a Blue Ridge Fellow was truly transformational. I can't say enough about Tim (and Kellie) Henderson, Church of the Holy Spirit, the host families, and everyone that goes into making BRF what is it. I learned so much about the bible (my favorite event was round table each week) and my relationship with God was greatly strengthened. I made friends that will last a lifetime (we are still having reunions) and a fun side perk, I met my husband! Roanoke is a great city to be a part of- the community there is some of the best you'll find. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

The Blue Ridge Fellows Program was an absolutely transformative experience for me and my walk with the Lord. Not only did I learn countless theological lessons that were endlessly fascinating, but I also learned how to live well in a community of people who came from different backgrounds and upbringings from me. The BRF provided me with so many opportunities and experiences that I otherwise wouldn't have had - round table, the chance to disciple girls from the youth group, a great internship, seminary, conferences, and so much more. One of my favorite of these was the mission trip we took to Belize. We were simultaneously able to serve and be served while there in a way that filled me with so much joy. I'll never forget that trip. It also made me fall in love with living in Roanoke and I've been here for over 6 years now! I never would have gotten to where I am now without BRF and I will always be so grateful to be a part of the program!

Easily one of the most, if not the most, transformative experiences of my life. Learning the bible from Tim & Kellie grew my love for Christ exponentially as I learned the depths of His love for me. When I recall my BRF days, I am encouraged as to why I want to walk with Jesus all the days of my life. The communities of Roanoke and Church of the Holy Spirit are also absolute treasures! Would do BRF again in a heartbeat.

During my time in the Blue Ridge Fellows program, I gained so many skills that will serve me well for the rest of my life. Before encountering God in college, my life revolved around parties and fleeting pursuits. Transitioning to life as a Christian outside the structured environment of college felt uncertain and overwhelming. The Fellows program became a transformative bridge, offering me the tools, guidance, and community to discover what it truly means to live out my faith in the real world.
My time with the Blue Ridge Fellows is a chapter of my life I will always treasure. It was a season of growth, filled with meaningful friendships, a deeper understanding of Scripture, and a newfound love for the city of Roanoke. Those days hold a special place in my heart. Yet, as Ecclesiastes reminds us, 'For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.' While my time in the Fellows eventually came to an end, the lessons I learned and the memories I made continue to shape me.

Blue Ridge Fellows was so good for me—I don't even know where to begin! I had friends, but BRF brought me into a community and a church that continues to encourage me and point me to Jesus years later.
I had a passion for reading the Bible, but BRF gave me tools and truths I needed to interpret the Bible soundly. I had launched reasonably well after college, but BRF taught me the habits I needed to be functional amid the ever-growing complexities of adulthood. (If you're a chronic procrastinator, BRF can help with that. Apply already!

The training and guidance that I received from BRF was life changing! Tim and Kellie are truly two of the most knowledgeable people about the Bible AND they are so wise in how they apply it. Getting to learn from them and see how their daily lives are impacted by the gospel will truly inform my decisions and spiritual walk for the rest of my life. I loved getting to dive deeper into the gospel and pouring into the lovely community at Church of the Holy Spirit. On top of that, I was SO blessed by everyone involved with the program. Truly such a generous and unique community. If you are thinking about applying, DO IT!

This program changed my life. It was not a "Gap Year", but a transformative transition from college to real-life, and I learned how to practically live out my faith as a physical therapist, church-member, husband, and father. I cannot recommend this more to anyone looking to jump-start their sanctification as they enter the work-force, and to anyone looking for an amazing year of life well-spent with other encouraging believers.

Very rarely will people reflect on their life and be able to point to a specific year that shaped and transformed how they viewed the world for the rest of it. BRF is JUST that. Their reputation far proceeds them, but Tim and Kellie lead this top notch program in a manner designed for fellows to better understand who they are, their career/job aspirations, and their faith walk in a seamless manner. For all post college graduates ready to dive in, please consider BRF as one of the best stepping stones into life.

I was hesitant to put my life on hold (fiance, job, loan repayment) to up and leave to Virginia. God quickly showed me my fears were nothing for Him as the pieces fell into place with a great host family, a job at Lewis-Gale and sweet friendships with fellows that I wasn't expecting. Now, the fellows year is behind me (class of 2016-2017) . The truths of scripture I received in my training there have only sweetened my life as a wife, mother, small group leader and worker. There is much to be gleaned from Tim and Kellie, the Church of the Holy Spirit and the fellows you do life with for 9 months.
