Sam is a graduate of Virginia Tech where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. While at Tech, he served as President and a founding father of Beta Upsilon Chi (BYX), a Christian fraternity dedicated to faith, brotherhood, and service. He also worked as an Analyst for Commodity Investing by Students (COINS), one of the few student-managed commodity funds in the U.S., and gained engineering experience as an intern with Rodgers Consulting.
Between school years, Sam invested in mentoring and leadership as a Camp Counselor and Athletic Director with Summer’s Best Two Weeks, guiding campers through athletics, discipleship, and community.
Sam now works as a Civil Engineer with Rodgers Consulting, a land development firm in Maryland. He is passionate about problem-solving, servant leadership, and using his engineering background to positively impact communities. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the Roanoke area, working out, and playing family games with friends.
