Kyla began her education at Piedmont Virginia Community College, where she earned her associate’s degree in Business Administration. She then transferred to James Madison University where she studied Business Management and Biology. While at JMU, she interned as a photographer for the university, and focused on capturing major campus events and producing content for the social media department. 

Additionally, she began operating her personal photography business on the side during her first year at JMU. She expanded it to include graduate, family, and wedding clients. 

Kyla continues to manage her side business, and also incorporates her passion for photography into other areas of life and work. Currently, she is working on a project to revamp the social media platforms for Magnolia Eye Center, creating her own image and video content to do so.
